Celebrated Belgian flutist Berten D'Hollander joins American-Belarusian composer and pianist Nina Siniakova for an evening that bridges cultures and artistic voices.
The program moves from the elegance of American repertoire and selections from the Great American Songbook to spirituals and original works, while especially highlighting music by members of the New York Women Composers—bringing forward the distinct energy of New York’s creative community.
Set within an intimate atmosphere that reflects both European sensibility and New York spirit, this evening offers a meaningful encounter between artists, cultures, and audiences.

Celebrated Belgian flutist Berten D'Hollander is a concert performer and educator.His refined musicality, unique sound, and exceptional virtuosity have earned him global recognition.His career spans over 30 years of performing, both as a soloist and a member of chamber groups. As an orchestra musician, he has collaborated with the Flemish Opera, the National Orchestra of Belgium, and many others.Berten enjoys performing classical repertoire as well as new works, presenting them at the internationally renowned festivals of contemporary music, such as Warsaw Autumn in Poland and Clef du Soleil in Lille, France.He holds the position of Principal flutist at Belgium's most renowned contemporary music ensemble "Musique Nouvelles" since 2001.Dr. Berten D’Hollander is a Professor of Flute at the Széchenyi István University in Győr, Hungary.
His masterclasses and performing presentations gained him popularity all over the world.

One of the most charismatic personalities on today's art scene, Nina Siniakova is a superlative composer and performer with a diverse cultural background and broad interests. Her compositions explore the eternal subjects of beauty, love, life, and death.
Her music has the been performed internationally—from Carnegie Hall and Symphony Space in New York to the Philharmonic Halls of Moscow, St. Petersburg, and her native Minsk. Known for her vivid orchestral colors and deep lyricism, she writes for a wide range of forces, from solo instruments to full orchestra.
Siniakova has a close artistic collaboration with leading musicians of our time, including Belgian flutist Berten D’Hollander, Belarusian international opera star Oksana Volkova, Yuri Bashmet orchestra "Novaya Rossiya" in Moscow, Belarus Philharmonic Symphony orchestra in Minsk, Orchestra 2001, Network for New Music in Philadelphia, and many others.
Her perspectives on composing and her creative process have been featured in numerous interviews. Her music often moves between stillness and intensity, drawing on both structured form and expressive freedom. Whether in concert halls or smaller stages, her voice remains distinctive and personal.

Founded in 1984, the New York Women Composers has been advocating and promoting music written by living women composers to redress the underrepresentation of women in the field of contemporary music. As one of the longest-established composer organizations in the United States, our mission is to increase awareness of music by women composers through performing, recording, networking, and mentoring opportunities. The NYWC is a resource for performers, musicologists, presenters, and curators for the discovery of women’s music. Our advocacy for equitable representation in the field is expanding the inclusion of women’s works in the contemporary concert and recording repertoire.
